    Maybe needle problem, pics

    Hello,

    Dont know if i have problem. Just disassembly my carbs and see one pin not so shrarp than others.

    Need to change? How i know what size i need.

    I'd check to make sure that that needle is the same size as the others but, aside from that, the bottom of the needle is not used in determining fuel/air mixture flow. It's the taper of the sides of the needle that is critical. To identify the needle size you need to remove it from the slide and look for a number stamped near the side/top of the needle. On a stock GS1100G it should read 5D58.

      Thanks for that. Im always comprehended that needle must always be that kind sharp, not flat head.


      But one more pic. Is this normal needle valve seat filter? Seen some pics where filter is metallic , that is plastik and one of those was free in there. And those is not glued at all?

        Normal for aftermarket. Some aftermarket float valve seats have those screens while stock look more like a dome of stainless steel mesh.
