    Running pods

    Hi guys new to forum so forgive me if this has been asked already.I have a gs750 with mikuni carbs and pod filters and the only way it will run is on choke I have cleaned crbs and all gets are clean what do I need to do to alter the mixture your help much appreciated

    have you upjetted the carbs to suit the pod filters?
    1978 GS1085.

        I have just built up the bike to what it came with so I haven't touched any internals just put the pods on that I came with,what settings should I be looking at for fuel screw and mixture screws

          If you've put on pods you'll need to raise the needles to the 2nd from lowest groove plus change the mains as well. The airscrew (2 turns out or thereabouts) and the fuel screw (1 turn out or thereabouts) only really influence very low throttle openings.

          Plus when you say you've cleaned the carbs did you meticulously strip them down to component parts and clean them (soak in thinners or ultrasonic clean and blast through) and check / set float heights?
