    Gushing carbs

I finally pulled the tank and removed the air box on an 83 1100l after inquiring you helpful guys about it. It turned out to be the O rings on the fuel tubes between the carburetors. The PO or mekanick used .062 rings and I found 2mm rings work better. I write this to tell you thanks for the encouragement to tear into it myself and I have learned a lot from this site. Old bikes are a lot like independent women...you gotta love em to keep em.

While you have the carbs out would be the perfect time to refurbish them. A full set of o-rings (including the proper ones for the fuel tubes) can be found at cycleorings.com, which is run by one of our members.
