air cleaner intake

I was looking in the parts list for the rubber boot that feeds the air cleaner and couldn't find it. Any tips for finding a new one? I did a search here but 'intake boot' returns mostly things related to the carb intake boots.

It called "hose" in the parts diagram. Go Here and it's item number 8.

I believe by his description that he might be looking for the "snorkel".

He called it "the rubber boot that feeds the air cleaner".

That part is not available separately, you will have to find one in somebody's stash.

Rereading it it may very well be the snorkel. If that's the case then ebay or a fellow member here are your best bet.

"Snorkel" sounds like an accurate description - I'm looking for the thing that takes air from above the battery and scoops it down to the air cleaner. Too bad it's not sold anymore - was it ever sold individually?

I wonder what would be an appropriate material to use to attempt casting replicas. Surely some kind of silicone, but I don't know if other additives would be necessary for exposure to petroleum products. Or high temperatures, say, next to the head.
