    Hoses

    Am going to the autoparts store to look for some hose for my project. I believe the vacuum hose is 4.5mm, the fuel hose is 7mm and the crankcase breather hose is 12mm (not real sure on this). In any case, I doubt the autoparts store will carry small diameter metric although they may carry small diameter inch size. What size hose do you folks use for these applications?

    Take the metric diameter, and multiply by .03937 to get the SAE size.

    Example for 7mm tubing: 7 X .03937 = .27559, which is close to 9/32" (.28125")

    4.5mm = .177165", which is ~5/32" (.15625")

    12mm = .47244", which is ~15/32" (.46875")

    You should be able to find metric tubing locally, especially from auto dealerships or motorcycle shops. If not, it's easily found online.
