    BS34SS carb body replacement

I am in need of some sage advice!

I bought a rack of carbs off fleabay for my gs1000g project. The left outer carb is unsalvageable. Stuck/broken off jets (air corrector and idle screw).

Can I replace the that carb body with one from a gs1100g from the same year (81)?

I realize the part #'s are different, but if I swap/replace all the parts (slide, needle, needle jet, main jet, etc.) will it work? Should I try it?

I would appreciate any help or advice from those who have been down this road before!

    cheers to a great site!

Yep, the bodies are the same for all the 1000 and 1100G's. Only the jets are different.
