    Carb parts

    Leaving my bike in for carb work mechanic thinks sticking sliders or diaphram gone,won't know till he tears it apart.I looked at prices for diaphrams and there mad expensive would anybody know where I could get aftermarket parts that would be cheaper or good second hand ones.It's a 1982 GS 850 gl.Conan

    I have some good, undamaged, used ones that should work for you. PM me and we can discuss.

    1980 GS1000GT (Daily rider with a 1983 1100G engine)
    1998 Honda ST1100 (Daily long distance rider)

    Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.

      Turned out to be a shim,replaced and running good now,if I'm taking off tank with fule in it what should I put petcock to so juice doesn't go everywhere

        either run/on or reserve. prime will just make it dump fuel since all it's doing is filling the float bowls. if you have it in either of those 2 positions and it's still puking fuel, your petcock's toast and needs swapped.

            What "shim" are you talking about?
