'78 gs1000e with pipe and pods. What size main jet?

As the title suggests, I would like recommendations on jetting a gs1000 with VM carbs and 4-1 header and separate air filters.

    Otherwise stock.

    Thanks.

Which air filters and what exhaust? It does matter.

Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.;)

get a Dynojet stage 3 kit. Fit it and with a bit of fettling, the job is done. Takes out all the guess work and the DJ needles will iron out any midrange anomilies...

Good to know that there are some still floating around but probably not for long. Would be nice to know where the OP lives.

i have emailed DJ UK and asked them if DJ have indeed stopped making that kit, and maybe DJ UK are just selling off what stock they have left.
If that is the case i may just buy a few kits before they dissappear for good!

Pods are k&n style oiled element.

Pipe is kerker with smaller street baffle.
