So will Berrymans after two days in. I dont care though as I always clean the outside on the wire wheel on the bench grinder. Ares the wheel doesnt get at gets 000 grade steel wool nd carb spray. Eventually just from being exposed on the bike they are gonna grey a bit anyway.

The pro formula I've been talking about will not darken them and does it's job in much less then 24 hours. The Simple Green HD Pro from Home Depot I use in the sonic cleaner doesn't darken them either. I usually do 30min in the sonic cleaner after a few hours in the dip at slightly higher then room temp. Never had to clean one a second time using that method. Sure have had some grungy carbs. The last set I picked up off of ebay were so black and crudded up that you couldn't even see the pilot jet after you removed the plug. Just filled with black crap right up to the top of the plug. Bowls had an 1/8" of black hard goo in the bottom. All are nice and clean with no darkening evident. The only problem I've had was removing the white scaling from aluminum oxidation. The Eagle One product did remove the scaling. Before using that I had to use a soda blaster to remove it.
