Electrolysis the whole carb?
Hey all, as I am waiting for parts to come in before I get get my bike running reliably, and I have to clean the carbs anyway, how wise would it be to use electrolysis on the entire carburetor? I was thinking a bucket of water with some industrial baking soda and using iron rods attached to a battery tender then tossing the carbs in the bucket? I don't have CV carbs so would this method work for removing rust and grime from the carbs?Tags: None

Not sure what CV carbs would do any differently, but I have never heard of anyone using electrolysis on carbs. Even when you strip them down, there are bits and pieces still inside that are of different metals, I think I would be rather hesitant to do it.
