1980 gs1000 stumbles at 4.5k RPM
Hello all at GSR, I'm currently having difficulties with my bike. 1980 gs1000, revs to 10+k in neutral or with the clutch in, but coughs out at 4.5k RPM under load. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the secondaries, or maybe the primaries being incorrect, or even other issues. Looking to see if anyone has some help there or if they have seen this before, before I end up just throwing a bunch of time and money at this, and wasting time and gas money for riding. Thank you in advance -
Gs1000g
Also how is the maintenance schedule? Are the carbs a fresh rebuild? Were they dipped properly or just blown out with can cleaner? My stumble ended up being a bad new spark plug... that being said if you can give a little more information we would be able to help better. Good luck
