    1100 2v vs 1100 4v carb float bowl differance

I will be running a GS1100g-2v top end on a GS1000. 1100g cv-type carbs were recently rebuilt by a member. It needed a throttle and choke cable brackets changed over, no problem. I want to change the float bowls from the 1100-4v carbs to the 1100-2v carbs because there is lots less external corrosion on the bowls(insides of both are clean). Question is, the float bowls are stamped with a F, the 1100e bowls are stamped with a B. Is there a difference in the float bowls? Inside the tube that my finger is pointing at, has what looks like a brass jet in the very bottom of it. Is that a metering jet of some type or are they interchangeable? Thanks!

Should be able to swap them.

About the "metering jet": look at the brass tubes that poke down into those holes. Do they have a tiny hole in the end or is it pretty much wide open? Usually, either the pickup tube or the bowl needs to have a restriction. Not too much problem if both have them, not sure what would happen if neither one had them.

An alternative would be to send the current bowls to me. I can make the corrosion disappear.

Thanks! the brass tube that runs in there is the choke curcuit fuel pick up, so it should be fine. If my carbs looked as nice as the ones above, the rest of the bike would have to be at 100%. It will be nice, but not that nice....lol
