Does vance and hines V12009 fit 1979 gs850?

    Hi,
I just bought a 1979 GS850G and wanted to install a Vance And Hines Street Megaphone 4 into 1 (model 12009). Anyone know if it will bolt straight on?

    Thanks,

    Rob

I have no idea who BioHazard Cycles are but they say it will fit.

I would wait and hear from a site member that has direct knowledge.

Thanks, but the minority of the sites I visited state it will fit 750's and 1980-1981 850G's (mine is a 1979). Other sites say it won't fit my bike.
Hopefully a member has hands-on experience with the pipe on their 850G

If it fits the '80/'81 850, it should also fit the '79. The only difference that I know of is that the '79 does not have the crossover pipe between #2 and #3.

The only possible issue may be the rear mounting bracket. Even then, it should be an easy job to fab one up.

Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.
