compatibility of carb manifolds with gs1000g?

    Hi Guys,
my carb manifold rubbers are pretty worn and ive got a vacuum leak, making so i can only run on prime setting. looking to buy a new set, the only ones specifically for the 1981 gs1000g that i have are about aud250$ from the us. does anyone know whether there are any other model manifolds that will for the 1000G? because the 850, and 750 sets cost less than half that price.
    thanks!

The 750 and 850 sets are 2mm too small (Mikuni BS32SS vs BS34SS). I'm not sure if the 1100G or GK or chain drive 1000 parts will interchange, or if they're any cheaper. They would at least be the right diameter. A few people occasionally report that parts from things like a snowmobile will work, but I don't know how to look for that interchange. I think there were some "universal" parts that worked with several vehicles, but you'd still have to make sure you get the right size for your carbs. I don't know how those could have the correct angle, though.

I just looked at the cross-reference chart for the 1000G intake tubes. They do NOT match up with the chain-driven bike manifolds, but they DO match up with any of the 1000 or 1100 shafty engines.

+1 on the 1100G and 1000G boots being the same for all years.
