    1980 GS1000G tank

I've been trying to find a tank for an '80 G, and have struggled to find one in decent shape. Will a tank from an 1100 fit on a 1000G? I've found one in good shape, the bolt and bushing patterns look right, but is it going to be too long?

I tried pulling a dent out of the tank I have and pulled a hole into the tank. The body shop that I went to said they really didn't want to weld the tank even though all of the fuel has been flushed out.

    Thanks

I've got a couple but they'll need paint. If you're interested I can try and send you some pictures over the next few days

Just for completeness: The tank mounting changed in '82, so the 1100 tank is not a direct swap. You can directly interchange '79-81 850G or 1000G tanks.
