What I do wrong THIS time ???

I ordered the choke cable with the correct pin-type end on it, to fit through the bracket. And.... it's about 2" too short.

    - in the picture, the red arrow is the cable end, the green arrow is where it needs to go.
    (82 GS1100GK carbs on my 80 GS1000G)

If I move the bracket over to the next carb, it will be too close.4172a.jpg

no, I am using the wrong carbs for my bike. Stock was the big barrel-type end.

I did a similar thing to my bike. I still have my '80 carbs, but am using an '82 style "choke".

After changing the brackets at the carbs and putting an '82 switch housing on the handlebar, the '82 cable slid right into place.
