    GS550 Intake boots issue

    Hi
I have an issue with intake boots on my gs550e '80,
I get new boots from ebay (for '80-'82) and they doesn't fit to cylinder head, they are too big.
Was there any differences in gs550 cylinder heads from different years ?
I suspect maybe my engine is earlier than '80

The boots should have a L or a R on them that will signify left side and right side as they are slightly different. That letter should also be facing upwards when the boot is installed

I just found answer for my question
as I suspected, PO replaced engine with older one, then he re-drill holes in boots and put CV carbs boots on silicone .
Pre '80 head has different port diameter and bolt offset.
Just for the record, below diferences between older pre and post '80 headcylinders.
