Today I took it out and after about 6 miles it started again except this time I was further from home and didnt relish pushing it a mile or more so I cracked open the choke a bit and hobbled home. Coming down my street it gave a little lurch, a pop and then .. it idled GREAT! I turned the choke off and I took it back out without turning it off and rode it another 8-9 miles without incident and without the flat spot.
When I did the carb cleaning I used the dip for about 4-5 hours per carb and while one of the tutorials on here suggested running a thin wire through the passage ways, clymer said dont so I stuck with clymer and just did the carb dip, spray carb, water and soap and air.
So .. Sticky valve maybe?? or did one of the passages in one of the carbs just break free? Its running great now and I have a new gas cap, and airfilter coming and I bought a gasket so I can do the valve adjustment but like I said .. I want to learn more about why's.
Thank you again everyone
Alex
