BS34 vs BS36 pilot air jets

According to the OEM parts diagrams most BS34 carbs come with 160-180 pilot air jets (the ones in the air horn) and BS36s on the 1150 are 115. I'm sure there are internal changes to accommodate this. I am trying to get to a good starting point with BS36 carbs. The original 115s are NLA, and I haven't found a source. Mine have 170s installed, bigger is leaner from what I can tell. Any ideas or anyone have some? Edit: I just looked up a Yammie FJ1100 and it also uses 160s with a 110 main and 37.5 pilot. SO I guess I need a recommendation for a starting point. It currently has 47.5 pilot, 170 pilot air, and 144 DJ mains. It starts fouling plugs after 2 or 3 miles from cold, but screams like a sumbitch until then. I have ordered or have on hand mains from 115 to 137.5. Stock jets are 122.5 on the center cylinders and 120 on the outside, I'm guessing because the center cylinders run hotter. Welding in a O2 bung this weekend, built a DIY UEGO kit for better input than reading wet plugs.

I've bought NLA Mikuni brand jets from niche-cycle. Appears they have your size on hand if you're aiming to run stock configuration. Solid ebayer, and you may want to call them just to be sure item is as described.

Genuine Mikuni jets for the Solex 44PHH and other OEM carburetors. Sold individually. Made in Japan. We are global. We pride ourselves in taking our own product photos so you know exactly what you are getting.
