another first for me... orange gas, and green gas.

Drained the bowls on 81 850G. carbs 1,2,3 looked like this : IMG_4837.jpg

Old and nasty, as expected. I drained gas tank... yellow, not so much orange. MaybeI should say brown but it was sunny outside.

and carbs #4 looked like this: IMG_4839.jpg

I understand the green is probably "Sta Bil"... or a cheap copy.
But only in one carb??? How does that happen?

If a bike was stored for very long sitting leaned over on the sidestand, it's quite common to find very different scenery in the "downhill" float bowls (#1) versus the "uphill" carbs (#4).

If you drop the float bowls it will tell you the complete story. My guess is that the green carb will look very different.
