    Different bike different question...

So this bike is an 81 gs750

Freshly rebuilt carbs with dynojet stage 3 kit, after market pipes, pods...

Runs but isn't synced and tuned in yet...

Getting ready to sync it and we notice fuel dripping from #3 carb but couldn't tell if it was the float bowl or the other rings on the T for the overflow hose...

Pulled the carbs, cut new gasket for the float bowl and put new o rings on the T...

    Reassemble everything...

Still leaking, now seems more likely coming from the T but now the OTHER overflow hose is draining fuel like a faucet turned on...

So, if I cut the gasket too big on the inside and it's interfering with the float would that cause it to overflow like this and if so would it overflow on the other tube???

"now the OTHER overflow hose is draining fuel like a faucet turned on..."

me confused... are you refering to the carb bowl vent lines?

Honestly I dunno what they're called... There is a hose attached to a T between carbs 1 and 2 ... And carbs 3 and 4... That just hang down... Carb 3 is the carb I worked on this morning but now the hose between carbs 1 and 2 is draining fuel... I thought maybe if I didn't cut the gasket well enough it could be hitting the float which might be causing this...

you cut your own gaskets correct ?
if so then i would bet that the floats are hanging up on the gasket on the inside of the float bowl

the hose that hangs down is the float bowl vent lines and should not be blocked or pouring fuel

Yes, doublecheck your bowl gaskets. Those hoses/tees are the vents for the bowls- they need to be up high or they might siphon fuel.image.jpg

Those hoses are VENT lines, not overflow. If they have fuel in them, the floats are stuck.
Homemade gaskets would be a likely culprit.

Before you hit the starter button, remove all spark plugs and put a rag over each plug hole. It is likely that one or more cylinders has liquid gas in it. If you spin the crank, there will be damage when it tries to compress the liquid.

You might also want to change your oil and filter.
