    slow warm up.

I've got a 1981 GS1100EX that I restored a couple of years ago and rebuilt the carbs. at that time and set the screws at whatever was the desired spec. in the tutorial available here for CV carbs. My problem is slow warm up time and an engine that dies and won't idle but slowly stalls. If ridden for 8-10 minutes to where the engine is up to full operating temperature it will idle fine but anything less and it won't. Would turning the pilot screws out a 1/4-1/2 turn correct this problem? My original bike that I bought new in 1981 was not cold-blooded like this one and would idle after a minute on the choke. Oh, the jetting and exhaust are both stock.

    thanks, Pat

Have you checked valve clearance? I think I read that tight valves can cause slow warm up.
