    Carb 78 GS1000

What carb is on the 78 GS1000? I just pulled mine out to clean and do a service and they did not match the diagrams that I had downloaded.....

Its definitely not a CV Carb and I'm not even 100% sure they are stock.

They also appear to only have 1 fuel mixture screw on the side of each body unlike the 2 I have seen many times on here. and it appears to be an air mixture screw.

In one of the other threads you started someone gave you a link to Basscliff's website. At that site you can download a factory Suzuki service manual for your bike which answers the questions you ask here. You can also find a carb rebuild tutorial on Basscliff's website. You may want to review that as well.

They should be VM carbs. Compare them to the VM carb rebuild guide on Bikecliff's site.

Yep, 78 and 79 are VM for sure.
