    GS450ga Suzukimatic carb question

    Hey everyone,

I don't own a gs bike myself (i'm a honda guy) but i'm about to help a friend through a carb rebuild for a 1983 gs450ga which is running poorly. I've searched around this site a fair amount but haven't been able to answer this for myself yet -- do the suzukimatics have the same 34 mm mikunis (BS34ss ?) that the rest of the twins do, and are the service manuals/rebuild kits compatible?

Hoping some 'zukimatic enthusiast can help clear this up,
    Thanks!

They are MOSTLY the same. The one I worked on also had an accelerator pump, I don't think the other twins have that.

Don't waste your money with "rebuild kits". Get the o-ring kit from cycleorings.com. If you need a diaphragm for the pump, it is part number 13491-44500, and is apparently still available for about $28.
