    VM needle quick question

I'm in the process of moving the needle clips for the first time in my GS750. Everything went smothely until I got to the 2nd carb. I noticed on the first that there is a little plate beneath the arm assembly and directly above the needle. This plate has a small bump on it. This bump was up on carb number 1 and down on carb number 2. Which was does it go? I couldn't get the 2nd slide back in because the bump causes the needle to rock forward slightly20170815_215156.jpg

Its been a while since ive been in a set. My advice would be look at the slide itself and the bottom of the linkage flange for a hole the bump would set into.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Down. Guide the needle into the needle jet with your fingers.

No kidding. I was was wondering which way it went also, but another member on here said it was to put a little sideways pressure on the needle to keep it from rattling around. There is usually a small indentation on the plastic washer above the clip from the bump.
