According to the Dynojet website, you should have a 3133 kit which lists different needles and jet numbers than what you have listed. Are you sure its the correct kit? http://www.dynojet.com/pdf/3133.pdf

As much as I like symmetry, too, I have always preferred to have the clip where it works the best, regardless of whether it is centered.

We have different needles, so may not apply; but I get the impression dyno jet needles need less main than their factory pro counterparts.
Edit - the above numbers are mikuni jet sizes.
iirc yes FP needles require whole other range than DJ. Rapid ray sells those and he would know.

I'm not sure, I found that info on the Web.
What kit did I get if that's the wrong one?
And what about the FP kits, are they more suited to cruseing than et,s? If
I'd buy another kit if u all are sure that's the wrong one!
            Thanks

Looking at Dynojet's website I'd say you had a #3103 kit that's listed for 80-82 GS1000-GS1100 8 valve motor instead of the 16 valve motor. http://www.dynojet.com/pdf/3103.pdf

I'll look around tonight when I get home, I think I may have the correct Dynojet needles for your application. If I do I can drop them in the mail for you if you'd like them.

So my 150s still ant in.
                            Plugs look white.
                            Read bunch of forums.
Talked to my friend who had a 1166 years ago.
                            Decided to go fat.
Found 4 145s that were not butchered ( I ream a lot of mine to go up when tuning)
Put needle in 3rd from bottom , from 2nd from top.
She sure sounds good in shop, haven't drove yet,it was 2am last night when I finished up.
                            Hope to test today.
Ps can't find my # on the needles, where are they,
Trying to figure out if I've got the right ones or the 8 valve Ones!
                            Thanks.

oooooh, she is sweet until 5k, then stutters.
gota lean the main, will go to 135ish from 145 and report back.

Still slight stutter with 135s, Trying 130s next.
But weeeeeee, with the clip 2nd from bottom, she sure takes off like a Bullitt.
Will go back to clip adjustment after I get the right main.
