    The middle hose on your carb rack does go to the petcock. That is your fuel supply for all 4 carbs. Both of the other 2 hoses are air vents. If you look at the other side of the carbs, #2 will have a small brass nipple. There should be a smaller hose that goes from that nipple to the one that is capped off on your petcock.

    You are correct about the sending unit. The long hose just routes back along the frame. It is there to keep any leakage from the sending unit away from the hot engine.
    Thanks! That clears things up. I looked on the carbs and did find the brass nipple on them also capped off. Any one have an idea as to why the vacuum lines would be capped off on the carbs and petcock?

      Probably has a defective petcock, and the previous owner ran it on PRIME all the time...
