    i'm confident that I will be able to salvage the body. I dremeled out part of the body to reveal the screw, had to re-create the screwdriver slot in the screw and then it came out ok. only a very small part of the upper threads will be visible. I will post some pictures tonight when i get home.

    I want to thank everyone that offered help and replacement carbs. It was all appreciated.

      Here is my handiwork with the dremel. A little rough around the edges and not pretty but I think it will work.

        I have seen worse.....A bit of Antiseize on assembly is a good idea

          It does make me feel better that there are people out there more destructive then me. and antiseize is on the menu for the re-assembly.
