Carb hanger for pods!

Anyone else made a hanger for the rear of the carbs when using pods?
I didn't like them moving around before I made this one!

I made something similar but it was bolted to the carbs and frame. Stopped the carbs from bouncing and also stops thieving little toe rags from nicking the carbs!

I wasn't quite so inventive... made a bracket similar to that but have just cable tied it over the frame rail.

I'm guessing it's British for hoodlum or young punk.

Never thought of doing this myself. May have to look into it. But I haven't had any carb issues.

Never entered my mind. My carbs are always tight in the intakes and have never had an issue, but then I don't jump or wheelie my bikes.

When I had KZ650, it had pods and I didn't like the way the carbs could move around, so I made a simple bracket running from the carb rack to a bolt on the valve cover.

That said, thousands upon thousands of bikes are out there running around with pods and no added bracket just fine. Most people never once think about this.

But yeah, it bugs me too.

The reason I did mine was due to the original 450 carbs distorting the intake boots when they had no support running K&N pods instead of the air box. They ended up probably 10mm or so lower after the intake boots got distorted out of shape after a few years of riding in that configuration. I don't know if I had an intake air leak or not as a result, the knackered diaphragms were masking any other symptoms.

I plan on running stacks with sock filters on the Kat and will be doing a similar bracket for it just in case.
