Slingshot carbs on ´83 GS1100E

Hi,

I´m trying to fit a set of slingshot carbs on to my 1983 GS 1100 E (16V) but spacing is far off, has any of you done this before and do you know if there any intake boots that will fit this?

What were the carbs off of? AFAIK, all the oil cooled GSXR's have the same bore spacing as the 16V GS engines.

86-92 gsxr 1100 are same spacing as gs 16v but the boots are larger especially 38-40 mm

If i remember correctly, 36mm might work with a stock 1100 engine but 38 or 40mm need a BIG engine to perform properly.

I don't remember the year, bout around 90-92. The bore spacing might be the same, but the carb spacing aint. The original carbs are 11 1/4" and the slingshot carbs are 11 7/8" (measured from the outside of left carb to outside of the Right carb)

GSXR 1100 carbs fit right in. Little tight but with new boots and pods its no problem
