Tried the pipe expansion tool and it only helped a little. Also tied heating the slip on, nothing. Ended up just slotting the rear exhaust hanger on the slip on and then bolted things up. Haven't had a chance to run it yet.
Question: How many disks do I use for a stock 83 1100ED? Even has the stock air box and filter, and stock carb jets. I installed 5 disks as a place to start and it comes with 10 disks.
Another Question: The slip on hose clamp is too small for some reason. Where does one get a 2.5 inch quality hose clamp to seal the slip on?

Its probably just me, but theres something about the pitch or tone of the Supertrapps that wear on me after a little while. Ive got one on my GS and one on an ATV (its a CT Racing exhaust-but its a Supertrapp clone). If I take enough discs out to get the sound tolerable to me, they motor runs rich and sluggish. However, I did find a solution in case the sound bothers anyone else: http://ctracing.net/site/atv-exhaust-turn-down-end-cap/ I had to grind a little of the edges for it to fit correctly but the sound is great and the tone is deeper, and it looks pretty good.1982 GS1100E "Jolene"
