    '80 GS1000G exhaust factory specs

    Hello all,

I am having a 4 into 2 exhaust made for my '80 GS 1000G. Wonder if anyone has factory specs for these? Wanna get it made right.

I am in Sydney, Australia - I wouldn't have thought the systems would differ from country to country.

    Cheers,
    Rohan

"Specs"?? There are probably a book full of "specs" available, specifying diameter and thickness of the outer tube, diameter and thickness of the inner tube (yes, it's a dual-wall system), location and radius of the bends, etc., etc., etc. Then you get part-way back, where you have to specify exactly where the pipes run so you don't get entangled in the stands. Then you get farther back, where you have to meet up with the mounting points.

It would be FAR easier for your fabricator to have the bike, where it would be easier to mock things up.
