    1983 GS1100GL cylinders not firing

Cylinder 3 and 4 are not firing and getting up to temperature on the right side of engine. The left side of the engine will get up to temp and the headers will get hot. The headers on the right side of the engine will barely get warm. Bike will start and run only with choke on and will die when choke is released. Possible blockage in carbs? Fuel not getting to cylinders? I swapped ignition coils and still same problem. Maybe need valve adjustment? All advice/input welcome.

Process of illumination first check the valve clearances and adjust if needed, you could take out the drain screws in the two float bows to see if there is fuel getting there then move to the carbs to give them a thorough clean/dip and check fuel heights in the bowls. Whilst you are there renew the orings in the carbs you can get them from Robert Barr a member here http://www.cycleorings.com/
there is a carb clean tutorial here http://zeus.mtsac.edu/~cliff/storage...ing_Series.pdf
being you have swapped the coils complete with ht leads and plug caps that rules out the ignition side more or less

Right, I tested to see if i was getting any fire from the spark plugs on 3 and 4 and I am. Maybe intake air leaks around old boots? Thought about replacing ignition coils anyway, still maybe. I should also probably do a compression test as well. Thanks for the help/advice.
