    The other option would be to get the insides of the headers ceramic coated. Might be worth looking into.

      Ceramic coating sounds a bit expensive for how pitted these are. I'm going to pretty them up and seal them to get as much time out of them as I can until I can manage a fresh set. Though I am curious: are there any aftermarket 4 into 2 headers available? I enjoy the look amd sound of a 4 into 1 but for this bike I really want the symetry.

        I see how it works now. I'm wondering how the double wall will effect mig welding the holes shut... Also, pipes 2+3 are welded onto the crossover piece, not thinking it was from the factory. This might make for an ass-pain deleting it, but we'll see. I might just patch the holes, there are less on that than there are at the base of the mufflers!
