It is looking that way. the 'run through' cleaning didnt do much. I guess I know what I am trying to do this week.

Now just to find a parts store that carries a decent parts cleaner.

Have you checked the carb boots for leaks?

You may be able to get away with cleaning just the main jets which would be significantly quicker. Your symptoms sound exactly like what happened to my bike, had two main jets clogged. If you have the time though, a thorough carb cleaning is obviously better.

Take it out and run it under load for a couple of miles. Pull over and pull the plugs and see what they have to say. If main jets are blocked then you should have lean looking plugs somewhere and if something is going on with the ignition, you'll likely have a rich plug or two.

Sounds like it is not firing on all cylinders. Check for good spark on all plugs. Petcock messing up ad drowning # 2 plug???
