You may be able to get away with cleaning just the main jets which would be significantly quicker. Your symptoms sound exactly like what happened to my bike, had two main jets clogged. Take it out and run it under load for a couple of miles. Pull over and pull the plugs and see what they have to say. Sounds like it is not firing on all cylinders. Check for good spark on all plugs. Petcock messing up ad drowning # 2 plug???1981 GS 1000GLX.
