General question about ‘82 GS1100L carbs on ‘80 GS1100 TSCC engine
Bought an ‘80 GS1100L w/TSCC engine. Learned that the PO replaced original carbs with set from an ‘82 non-TSCC/2v per cyl engine (said it came from an ‘82 1100 L, which I believe would’ve been non-TSCC). Should those carbs been re-jetted when installed due to the different heads on the TSCC engine.
Thanks guys. I’m a newb here and just now beginning my learning journey with GS’s.Steedracer

If everything on your bike is stock (exhaust and intake), yes, the jetting is different.
Your '80 needs 107.5 main jet and 45 pilot jet.
The '82 carbs have 115 main jets and 40 pilot jets.
There are other detail differences, but those are the biggies.
