float bowl vent hose
I'm going through the carbs on my 1979 GS1000 and would like to replaces the four hoses on the float bowls with a black OEM style hose. Suzuki has discontinued this hose. Does anyone know of a source for after-market black hose in the proper OD/ID as the original was?

Parts Outlaw does not show them as discontinued, but they certainly aren't cheap.
The part number is 13683-45070, which indicates that it is a 4.5mm inside diameter. In American terms, that would be just under 3/16".
Oh, and just for clarification, those are not "vent" hoses, they are "overflow" hoses.

Yup, showing available here, and listed as "5x8x450mm"
You could also order up a hunka Viton or Buna-N tubing from McMaster-Carr. Buna-N is a helluva lot cheaper, and should be fine in this application.
McMaster-Carr is the complete source for your plant with over 595,000 products. 98% of products ordered ship from stock and deliver same or next day.

They do not have 5mm ID, but they do have 3/16" ID X 5/16" ID, which is verrrrrrrrrrrry very close and will work fine and look absolutely factory.
3/16" is 4.76mm, and 5/16" is 7.94mm, both close enough no one would ever be able to tell.
You can probably get 3/16" tubing at a decent auto parts store, although I think most black rubber 3/16" ID tubing you'll find on the shelf is vacuum tubing with thicker walls. It might be used for windshield washer tubing.1983 GS850G, Cosmos Blue.
