Petcock vacuum line
1979 GS1000E- Cant find the carb connection that the petcock vacuum tube goes to. Looked on the left side, but don't see anything obvious-Tags: None

Which end of the hose is loose?
The petcock whould have two ports on it, assuming it's a stock(-ish) petcock. Unless you have owned the bike since new and have been the only one to work on it, you don't know who might have changed what. If there <are> two ports, the smaller one (which will be closer to the center of the bike) is the vacuum line.
If you are looking for the port on the carbs, it will be on carb #3. Engine side of the carb, on the left side.

Thanks, Todd. I don't see many VM carbs, forgot which location was correct.
At least I got #3 correct.

Thanks- It's connected at the petcock. So it's that brass inserted nipple right above the main fuel line "T" (left side of carb 3) correct?
