vm32ss choke mod from cable to a local

Has anyone found a way to put a local handle or knob on their BS32SS carbs? I am working on my GS550to 650 and don't have a provision for the handlebar mounted choke.

Kawasaki had some 34's with a knob for their 1000 & 1100's, appx. "79" to "82", that would fit perfectly on the Suzukis, probably had some 32's for some of their smaller models. I drilled a small hole in the little flat place on the left carb, then put on a knob with a small screw. Had to hold it out while warming up, I never came up with a way for it to stay out & 1/2 way out.
