    Gs750 petcocks

I usually put the 77 thru 79 750 petcocks on my 1000s and was just on fleabay looking. The OEM ones are around 97ish from Suzuki. Anyway i came across what looks like a flood of cheap cheap cheap petcocks. Heres one i chose to paste. Anyone heard of these differing brands and of thier reliability?

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Yep, they're rubbish. They don't seal off when the vacuum is removed because of the weak spring inside.

I just got a new one for my GS1100E, was 90 but oddly it's up to 108 now that I checked back on the Partzilla site. Ouch. After reading all the issues with copies I just went for it and got the original. But I forgot to get new seals for the attachment bolts, dang.

I found the same issue as Grimly had with my Ebay "cheapo"(bought last year)

I thought maybe swap a spring in from an old petcock but it wasn't the same diameter and wouldn't fit in the space allocated for it.

I have to be a little suspicious when so many get dumped on ebay. Perhaps the manufacturer dumped the lot cheap because of a defect.
