Just as long as the new O-rings didn't get damaged you should be fine to use them again.

Just wondering, If you got the new boots & "O" rings together, why not put on new boots & "O" rings at the same time, just to know everything is good?

You bought new boots that came with new o-rings.

You installed the new o-rings in the OLD boots.

You ran the engine a few times.

Now you want to remove the old boots and install the new o-rings in the new boots.

        Did I get that correct?

I'll interrupt with a question: why bother re-installing the old boots when you already had new ones there?

Back to your issue: your new o-rings are still new, go ahead and install them in the NEW boots.

As the o-rings age, they harden and flatten in shape. They will assume a square section, rather than round, and will be flush with the surface of the boot in which they reside. In that condition, they have a hard time maintaining anything resembling a seal. Your new o-rings are round and supple, sitting quite proud of the surface, which provides a wonderful seal.

        Install and enjoy the ride.

OK, I see now, the first post said you have new boots here got "O" rings with them, doesn't take much to get me confused these days. Hope this gets you fixed up.
