    1981 GS650 Fuelling issue

I took apart the carbs, cleaned them well and put back together, now bike won't start. I have spark and fuel in the bowls but still nothing. After squirting some fuel in the spark plug hole bike ran for a second then shuts off. Any ideas? Any advice on how to adjust the pilot and mixture screws?

Tell us the method you used to clean the carbs

Because, your other tests point to the carbs
    Airbox on?

Which screw do you think is the pilot, and which one is the mixture

Considering there is only ONE pilot/mixture screw (per carb), that choice should be easy.

But not until AFTER you tell us exactly how you "cleaned them well".

Play nicely now. Jonaron is probably whizzing through all of the other carb problem posts and realising the common denominator is the carbs have been 'cleaned' rather than CLEANED.

Once they have properly cleaned the carbs they will be back for more help and advice.
