    The '80/'81 850G tank is the same, as well as the '80/'81 1000G.

        Those are "direct fit, look just like it", but there might be others that can be made to work.

          82-83 850/1100G have two horizontal tabs at the back and won't fit.

          79-81 850/1000G have the single vertical mounting tab and will fit.

          GL tanks won't fit either.
          1983 GS850G, Cosmos Blue.
          2005 KLR685, Aztec Pink - Turd II.3, the ReReReTurdening
          2015 Yamaha FJ-09, Magma Red Power Corrupts...
          Eat more venison.
