    Gs550e exhaust fitment question!

Hey y’all, I’ve been wanting to put a 4 to 1 system on my 1980 gs550e- I cannot Find an exact model fit aftermarket part- but I know Someone that has an older 550 that has a 4 to 1 willing to sell, will it fit? My bike is 1980 and his is from the 70’s

At the worst, you might have to fabricate a rear mount, but the rest of it should fit fine.

Just to add to what Steve said, the 550E exhaust mounting points are identical from 78-80. You can't mix and match all exhaust components from those years as later systems had a cross-over pipe under the sump, but that's not relevant to what you're asking. 81 and 82 models (the ones with the alloy footrest hanger) had a slightly different rear mounting. In summary, you'll be fine, go for it.
