    Stuck slide

OK, how can you unstick a slide?
I bought a cheap set of BS 32s and the slide in the #4 carb is stuck
I've ultrasoniced it, boiled it in vinegar and soaked it for days in vinegar. The latter got the needle out, slide is still stuck.

Penetrating oil applied for week, still no go.

    Any other suggested techniques?

I haven't done it and you would have to be careful but perhaps gently heat the carb with a propane torch?

Heat from a small propane torch on the body with the carb upside down till it falls out. Just heat it don't melt it.

I concur that heat is the answer. Use a small flame and keep it moving. Don't wait for the slide to just fall out on it's own, that adds too much heat in my opinion. Get a wood stick and apply a little pressure after heating. If it doesn't move, try a little more heat until the slide(s) come free.
