    81 650e BS32 main jet screw up

I rebuilt the Carbs for my project 81 650e and installed them. When I rebuilt them I noticed they had 110 main jets. Now that I have it running it smells very rich. And it must be because if I use the choke it will not start but first start when cold without choke it starts fine. Now this is the confusing part. The chart on BikeCliff site doesn't show a list for 81 650e only for 82 and that is 97.5 main jet. and a 110 main jet for the 650G&L. with all other jetting being much the same.
I don't know if someone in the past changed the main jets or used 650g Carbs. So do you guys think I should just change main jets to 97.5 Or is there any thing else I should check?

I’d surely check the wet fuel level.

I didn’t think the mains would impact the idle circuits
    (But I’m Still learning).

I did check the wet fuel level when I had them off. I do have another question Has anyone had luck changing the main jets without removing the Carbs? they are extremely difficult to remove and almost as bad to replace.
