Hey guys, I have an issue with my fuel gauge on my 1980 GS1000E. When I ride, the needle on gauge moves from side to side as if it is loose. Wondered if any of you have come across this fault and if so how can I remedy it please.

Sounds like the bimetal strip that flexes and moves eedle has broke. think in terms of how an old mercury thermostat works.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it. -
