GS650 Aftermarket Electronic Ignition
I have a bad igniter on my 1981 GS650 (not firing the rh coil), I see that the dyna s type ignition only shows to fit on most GS's but not the 650. Has anyone tried to fit one? It seems if you would hook up the the two pickup wires to the coils and 12V to the unit, it should work.

There is an oil pressure sensor behind the ignition plate, that blocks the install of a Dyna S. I've never done this, but have read in various threads posted here through the years, that a dremel can be used to clearance the ignition plate, and thus, make room for the Dyna S to fit.Ed

You got it.
The ignition assemblies are the same, but the magnetic rotors are different heights and the magnet positions are a touch different.
Make sure your mechanical advancer unit, KD or ND, matches the ignition you order.Rijk
