    Just wondering if anyone has ever ordered this Polaris 4011657 wiring harness to install their SH775 conversion?

    Seems to have all the connections you already need installed along with an extra connector to put on the stator wires to plug it right in. Only $20 and you can get it on eBay or Amazon.​

    That's as elegant a solution as I've seen and will allow you to disconnect your stator from the R/R with one simple click and pull. All that's to do is crimp the three loose female spades onto your stator leads and click them into the connector. Sort out where the red wire is going, as per Nessism's diagram. Connect the black lug to your single point ground or Battery (-). Easy-peasy. I'd buy it if I was doing it all over again.

      That does seem like a nifty harness. Kinda of long, though. The Triumph harness is my go-to. PN T2500676

        Yeah I thought it was probably a little longer than needed. I’m mounting mine under the battery box and it will need to have the wires going out the right side by the rear master cylinder to fit the stock mounting holes and not have to move my fuse box. So I may need a little extra length.

        I ordered it from Amazon. I’ll let you know how the install goes.

          I also used the triumph one off of ebay. Somehow i lost a red wire down into the wire bundle, it ran but had a low voltage issue due to back feeding somehow. Once it all got connected it's great.

            That looks like a good cheap option for the pre-made connectors!


            I used Eastern Beaver bits. You can get just the connectors, or a harness kits, but they're not as cheap as that Polaris harness.

              Well.. it’s definitely long! I could mount the R/R on a trailer if I want to Might be good if someone wanted to mount it up front for cooling.

              Measures about 69” long. But I will say it is very good quality. Connectors are good. Wire has a “fabric” insulation on it. Sheathing is high quality. Just need to shorten it up considerably. Guess I’ll need some new male ends for the stator connector, a ring connector for the ground, a bullet for the power. Or maybe I’ll de-pin the R/R connectors and redo that end shorter.

              It did come with a keychain, sticker, and dielectric grease. All in all, I’d order it again.

                      I did get my SH775 wired up this weekend and tested and I couldn't be happier with the results. Definite improvement from the charging I was getting. I think the stator and R/R were replaced at some point. Did not seem to be the stock R/R and stator wires were all the same color. Connectors on the stator were all direct to the R/R and they were clearly melted.

                      Looks like a Rick's R/R.



                      Charging readings were about 12.35v at idle and 13.68 at 3000-5000 rpm. Not great... but stator output was 45VAC at idle and 75VAC at 5000 rpm. No grounds on each leg.

                      After getting the SH775 mounted under the battery box and redoing all the connections. Now charging at 13.97v at idle and a pretty constant 14.66v at 3000-5000rpm.



                      The Polaris connector kit I ordered from RMStator was great. Ended up cutting most of the length off the wires and replaced the connectors. Needed to re-pin the male spade connector going to the stator and installed the supplied female spade connector to replace the melted bullet connections. Created a new connection from the negative post to the Single Point Ground (SPG) on the starter relay strap with some of the wire. Red wire in the photo above was going to the ground on the fuse box (super confusing why there was a red wire from my fuse box I needed to connect to the negative terminal of the battery or nothing worked!). Left me with quite a bit extra of good quality wire and sheathing tube that I can use in other areas if needed.

                      I also ordered the Haisstronica crimping tool kit from Amazon and a heat shrink connector kit. This tool worked great for crimping the heat shrink connectors and open barrel connectors that came out looking like factory connections. Sorry, I forgot to take photos of the new connections before I tucked them back up in the rubber covers.
