    GS400 Boyer Ignition Timing

    Hey everyone,

I just finished installing a Boyer kit on my Suzuki GS400, but I’m stuck on how to set the timing. The stator plate has a hole for the strobe light on the right side, but the timing marks on my bike are on the left. I need to line it up to TDC first and then check the full advance, but i cant see where its at

Here’s a photo of the old ignition and the new Boyer setup. Anybody dealt with this and know what to do?

Is that a model-specific BB unit? Some of their units say 'modification required'. Maybe you need to drill a hole! There's an Email address listed here that you could try: http://www.boyerbransden.com/products.html

Is that what they call a 'stator plate'? Stator's on the other side of the bike.

The timing plate has a hole that you can look through and see the marks. That electronic setup doesn't have a hole, and it looks like you can't make one, because there are electronic parts right in the way.

Sure that's the right way around?
